Meet Astrie

After graduating with a management and psychology degree, Astrie pursued her passion for the fashion world by attending the renowned Parsons School of Design where she focused on fashion design. After completing the program she worked as a fashion stylist on the Tony Danza Show at NBC, followed by a design associate role at Jill Stuart. Astrie also spent a summer working at Henri Bendel under Laura Saio, the well known head of the beauty department, before moving back to Asia.

After moving from New York to Singapore in 2006, she soon found herself missing the small boutiques she had fallen in love with in New York and decided there and then she wanted to open a concept store in the Little Red Dot. In 2013, The Beauty Candy Apothecary was born, offering curated beauty, fashion, and home items hand picked by Astrie. The shop has enjoyed tremendous success over immediately which led to the opening of a flagship store on Singapore’s famed Orchard Road in 2015. Today the Beauty Candy makes its selection of beautiful products available in store and online to customers around the world.
